As you may know, we have the Cortina Nationals coming up on Labour Day 2024 weekend in New Plymouth. Things will kick off with registration and meet and greet on Friday 25th October and will go through to a farewell breakfast on Monday morning the 28th.
In between, there will be the usual car show, car runs, shed visits and Saturday and Sunday night dinners with a band, dancing, auction and prizegiving, all set in the amazing setting of New Plymouth and the surrounding Taranaki.
The primary location for the Nationals is the Plymouth International, where Friday night registration and the Saturday and Sunday evening dinners will be held.
We have two options for accommodation at special rates offered to the club:
- Plymouth International: primary location for Nationals, with a range of rooms, some where you can park outside your room. Special parking for Cortina’s will be arranged in the outside carpark, potentially roped off with security.
- Auto Lodge: one block away from the Plymouth International, around 5-7 mins walk. More traditional motel style with mostly park outside your room layout. And it has a bar too!
We have rooms on hold for 60 days. In order to book a room at either venue (Plymouth also run the Auto Lodge), please contact Marie at Plymouth International (details below).
At this stage you don’t need to pay up front, just give your details with payment due later in the year.
It will be a Nationals not to miss, so I strongly encourage you to book now so you can secure a room and if you can let me know once you’ve booked so we can get an idea of numbers.

Run along spectacular southwest coast for lunch
After lunch, car run around the mountain via a shed visit in Stratford/Inglewood.
Sat night shindig with a band, Plymouth International Hotel - Sunday 27th October 2024
Meet at New Plymouth Raceway for car run
Car run along some spectacular local scenic roads to lunch, which is at a private car collection.
After lunch will return via some more local scenic roads.
Evening formal function at the Plymouth International will include prize giving, auction - Monday 28th October 2024
Breakfast at The Hideaway (Holden Museum) Steve loves the Holden Museum
